Mayor’s 9/11 Remembrance Walk and Ceremony

September 8, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The annual remembrance ceremony will commemorate the 23rd anniversary and pay tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. This event further recognizes the ongoing bravery and dedication of Military personnel along with Honolulu’s First Responders: Honolulu Police Department (HPD), Honolulu Fire Department (HFD), and Honolulu Emergency Services Division (HESD), Department of Emergency Management (DEM), and Honolulu Ocean Safety Department (HOSD).

The walk will begin with a tribute at the Honolulu Police Department Headquarters on South Beretania Street. It will continue down Alapaʻi Street to South Street with a stop at the Honolulu Fire Department Headquarters on Queen Street. The procession will move from Queen Street to Punchbowl and conclude with a brief ceremony at the Honolulu Hale’s Eternal Flame.
