Endangered Species Act Art Exhibition presented by NOAA
April 9 – May 14, 2024
Lane Gallery, Honolulu Hale
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) presents a keiki art exhibit in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The exhibit features K–12 student artwork showcasing some of the region’s most notable threatened and endangered marine life.
The Endangered Species Act (ESA) was enacted in 1973 to prevent the loss or harm of endangered and threatened species and to preserve the places they live. For over half a century, the ESA has proven to be one of the most effective wildlife conservation laws, credited with saving 99 percent of the species it protects.
Lane Gallery is located on the first floor of Honolulu Hale (530 S. King Street).
Honolulu Hale is open Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
